Sports fans recently gathered in New Orleans, LA, for football’s biggest event. To take advantage of the moment, two of our brands joined in on the action.
Crock-Pot® joined well-known culinary personality and Mayor of Flavortown, Guy Fieri, for the third annual Guy’s Flavortown Tailgate, the ultimate tailgate experience for foodies and football fans alike. Crock-Pot held its first Big Game Sunday Celebrity Cook-Off, featuring an oversized tailgate experience celebrating the brand’s new MultiMeal multicooker and broad range of slow cooking products. The activation infused the flavors of tailgate favorites in two dishes prepared using MultiMeal alongside football legends Spice Adams and DeShan Jackson, who later competed in a Crock-Pot tailgate recipe showdown in front of a panel of judges.

Sharpie® announced year two of their Rookie of the Year program, which partners with college football standouts and prospective pros to help them make their mark throughout their rookie year using the high-performance Sharpie S-Gel pen. In a “Passing of the Pen” ceremony, last year’s Rookies Rome Odunze and Michael Penix Jr. welcomed future draftees Ashton Jeanty and Tetairoa McMillan to the Sharpie family.

The weekend in New Orleans was a resounding success for both Crock-Pot and Sharpie. By engaging with football fans and media through unique and interactive experiences, both brands were able to showcase their products and create memorable moments. Crock-Pot's collaboration with Guy Fieri and their exciting tailgate cook-off highlighted the versatility and appeal of their slow cookers, while Sharpie’s Rookie of the Year program continued to inspire and support emerging football talent as they make their mark on and off the field with Sharpie S-Gel in hand. These activations not only celebrated the spirit of the big game but also reinforced the brands' commitment to innovation and community engagement.
